It’s hard to believe that today is September 2nd; it feels like summer just arrived yet I always look forward to all that fall brings. Halloween and cute costumes, all things pumpkin, then most importantly all things Christmas! With that being said, I try very hard to appreciate each month and not wish away any specific time of year because it all goes by too quickly anyways. Did anyone else think that Starbucks brought back Pumpkin Spice too early this year though? I hope that everyone had as nice of a Labor Day weekend as we did. We spent alot of time outside, ate good food, and visited with family which makes everything more special.
Now its back to work to prepare for a 5th birthday party this coming Saturday and the Illuminate conference which is on Friday, September 13th. If you aren’t familiar with that conference, you should be: http://vendraleigh.com/illuminate/ I feel extremely fortunate to be involved with such an amazing group of women that work so hard to make a difference; when possible please shop local and use any of the amazing women involved with the Vend Raleigh group.
A fun party favor tip for the day: use locally produced products and add your own creative accents. Pictured below are some wedding favors from a recent wedding; the favor itself is local jam with personalized labels and ribbon. This is fun way to add your own touch to an event and give guests something they can use as well!
